Taking a Break -- Officially (Short Post)
I just got done playing for a few hours and things went poorly again. Very poorly. I'm not getting paid on my good hands and I'm paying off with 2nd best hands. It's probably a combination of running bad and tilt, but I think it's time for a week off. This whole nightmare session culminated in a hand where I got a $300 pot together as a 61:1 favorite and lost it. Let me summarize the action:
UTG limps, UTG+1 limps, I limp UTG+2 with 4h4d, the SB completes and the BB checks. The flop comes 2d4sKs, giving me middle set. SB checks, BB bets $2, UTG calls $2, UTG+1 calls $2, I make it $16, SB moves in for $135, I call. Turn and river come TcTs and I lose to his KhTh. No kicker, no backdoor straight draw, no backdoor flushdraw, just top pair. And it beat my set. Gross.
I am definitely playing somewhat poorly and running pretty bad on top of it (these things seem to feed off one another also), so I want to take a break for a week or so. I also will have some work ramping up over the next few weeks anyway, so it's a good time to take a break anyway.
