Some morning fun

I woke up early today and played an hour of $2/$4 6-max and cleared a decent win. Here's the play of the day from this session. I will never ever understand why someone would bet the river here (other than just pure stupidity). If you absolutely must take your Q6o to showdown on the KKJTQ board against a guy who's raised you on every street, at least check-call to try to catch a bluff. Will I fold a better hand here? No. Will I call with a worse hand? Maybe with J8s or T8s or something, but that's about it. Will I bet with a worse hand? Sometimes.

Thanks for calling the river raise too.

This isn't that bad I don't think. I think his range is something like any two pair, set, straight and some pair/draw combos like AK or KT, a range which I am currently crushing. Those are the hands I'd move in with anyway...

I also decided that I am going to discontinue the Donk of the Day feature and replace it with a "play of the day" feature, starting in the above post. It will mostly be donkey-type plays, but I want to work on having more respect for my opponents and trying to see their plays from a positive side. I'll try to give both humorous AND interesting/subtle plays so we can learn as well as be entertained.
